Creating a rooftop terrace that feels like an urban oasis requires more than just greenery — it demands a thoughtful balance between aesthetic impact* and structural practicality. For our clients with busy schedules, we focus on low-maintenance planting concepts that thrive through all seasons without requiring constant care.  

In Berlin, where temperatures swing from -20°C in winter to nearly 40°C in summer, plant selection is key. We curated a palette of *hardy evergreens, drought-tolerant perennials, and ornamental grasses, chosen for their resilience and year-round presence. These species not only withstand harsh weather conditions but also bring texture and structure to the space while shedding little to no foliage.

The terrace design incorporated *custom planter boxes* with lightweight substrates and carefully calculated point loads to ensure that the rooftop’s structural integrity remained uncompromised. The result is a space where beauty and function meet — a welcoming retreat that feels lush and alive, yet requires minimal upkeep.

It’s a garden designed to be lived in, not labored over. A place to escape, recharge, and reconnect with nature — without the burden of constant maintenance.
